What is Turvac Si VIP Add-ons?

Turvac Si VIP is a high performance vacuum insulation panel, delivering exceptional insulation performance, at minimal thickness. With our customers in mind, we can develop limitless solutions combining variety off Add-ons to improve manipulation or final assembly of Turvac Si VIP in final application.

An exemplary solution is our Laminated Turvac Si VIP, featuring a double-sided lining of 5 mm Extruded Polystyrene (XPS). Available in all dimensions like Turvac Si VIP, layer of XPS provides mechanical protection, making it an ideal solution for preventing thermal bridges during the construction and renovation of buildings. It's versatile for use in roofs, ceilings, floors, blinds, balconies, and terraces.

Another example is solution that was developed, to significantly improve VIP applying process of Turvac Si VIP in different household appliances or laboratory equipment, adding special double-sided adhesive tape. Using this type of VIP in refrigerator or freezers increases internal volume and improve energy-efficiency.

Add-ons are very common in Turvac Si VIP Box as well. Beside dimensional and shape diversity, Turvac has know-how to develop custom made solutions for the most demanding customer needs. We can fully adapt box dimensions to fit perfectly into any kind of outer box, design and produce different lid types, variety types of lid handles, integrating solutions with hook and loop tape, adding inner pockets for PCM mats or any other cooling solutions.

Handling and storage

The envelope, metalized foil of Turvac Si VIP must not be damaged by drilling, cutting, milling, nailing, or any similar mechanical method, as this could compromise the vacuum integrity, resulting in the loss of its superior insulation properties.

The panels must be stored in dry conditions and protected from mechanical damage and direct sunlight.

Installation should be carried out on a clean surface to prevent mechanical damage to the VIP. If these conditions are challenging to meet, it is advisable to consider an alternative solution with an additional layer of protection such as XPS (Turvac Si Add ons), PIR (Deck-VQ), etc.
